Uttarakhand schools open news: The schools in Uttarakhand will be closed until September 30th
DEHRADUN: According to the director of secondary education on Tuesday, schools will remain closed and will not reopen as of September 21 after a spike in COVID-19 cases in the state.

On September 8, the Ministry of Health issued a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for a partial reopening of schools for students in grades 9 to 12 for voluntary advice from their teachers.

“With coronavirus cases on the rise in the state, Uttarakhand will not resume schools on Sept. 21, under the direction of State Education Secretary Arvind Pandey. Now home-based teaching will be conducted from home until the end of this month,” the state said Secondary school director said in an order.

According to the Union Department of Health, there are 10,374 active cases in the state, with 22,213 recoveries and 429 deaths.
