485 candidates from different parts of the Kashmir Valley appeared in NDA and Naval examinations on September 6, 2020.

UPSC NDA, NA 2020: Up to 485 candidates from different parts of the Kashmir Valley participated in the NDA and naval exams held here on Sunday during the COVID-19 pandemic, an official spokesman said.

He said the exam was conducted by UPSC and held at Amar Singh College and the exam centers at SP Higher Secondary School in Srinagar.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Shahid Iqbal Choudhary visited both centers to take stock of the arrangements made for the candidates, the spokesman said.

The investigation was conducted in accordance with all UPSC guidelines and in strict compliance with the COVID-19 protocol, he said.

The administration under the supervision of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole, made foolproof arrangements for the smooth and fair conduct of the exam, the spokesman said.

The arrangements included long distance seating, fumigation and disinfection of exam centers, sending judges to both centers, security measures and other related precautions, the spokesman said.

In addition, two special exam trains were run between Banihal and Baramulla to allow easy transportation for candidates who appeared for the Srinagar exam on both the morning and evening shifts.
