The program required 75 counties in the state to send data on the progress of the program to state authorities. However, analyzing the reports, it emerged that the spending and other details were different, which is negligent behavior by the counties.
All districts have been asked to recheck and re-submit the details or action will need to be taken.
“This is to draw your attention to the fact that when the reports submitted under the Nishtha program were analyzed, it was found that there were inconsistencies in the calculation of the funds previously spent,” said the order from Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’s UP project leader Vijay Kiran Anand.
Instructions have been given to ensure that the inconsistencies are reviewed and new data submitted with immediate effect, or the authorities concerned will be held responsible for the error.
