The Minister of Education is launching an 8-week alternative academic calendar for secondary school

NEW DELHI: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ published the Alternative Academic Calendar (AAC) for the next 8 weeks for secondary education on Monday.

“Today the Alternative Academic Calendar (AAC) was introduced for the next 8 weeks for secondary school. The alternative academic calendar for 12 weeks for the primary and upper primary levels and the AAC for the secondary and upper secondary levels for 4 weeks have already been published, ”the minister tweeted.

He also said the calendar provides detailed guidelines for teachers on using technology and social media tools to deliver education while students are at home. The calendar is also designed to enable our students, teachers, school principals and parents to use online teaching and learning resources to be positive about Covid19 and achieve the best possible learning outcomes, he added.
