An 8-week alternative academic calendar for classes 9 to 12.

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal released an eight-week alternate academic calendar for grades 9-12 developed by NCERT on Tuesday. The alternate calendar maps the topics using technology and social media tools to enable education while the Students are at home.

While the Minister of Education tweeted about the Alternative Academic Calendar, he wrote, “Today launched the Alternative Academic Calendar (AAC) for the next 8 weeks for secondary school. The alternative academic calendar for 12 weeks for the primary and upper primary levels and the AAC for the secondary and upper secondary levels for 4 weeks have already been published. ”

According to the new Unlock 4 guidelines, schools will begin (partially) for students in grades 9 through 12 from September 21, 2020. Participation of the students in the class is voluntary.

The academic calendar contains weekly plans consisting of interesting and challenging activities, referring to the topic / chapter from the curriculum or textbook.
