Schoolgirls encourage people to donate equipment to help students in need take online courses
CHANDIGARH: A group of five girls in Chandigarh took an initiative to collect electronic devices from people as donations to make it easier for students in need to take online courses.

Speaking to ANI, Saachi Ahuja, one of the girls said, “We gave gadgets to 21 girls. It helps them take online classes when schools are closed.”

These school-going teenagers have come together to encourage teenagers to donate their devices, such as cell phones and laptops, to disadvantaged girls who cannot afford these devices for online learning.

It has been almost four months since all schools closed due to the lockdown caused by COVID-19 that led students to choose e-learning.

As part of the “Prerna – for you and us” initiative, these girls turn to young people to donate gadgets and offer the same to disadvantaged girls.

These girls were also helped by their tutor in Chandigarh.

Another girl in the group said: “We spoke to our teacher and learned that there are some students who cannot take e-courses. That is why we came up with an idea of ​​Prerna – for you and us, under which we are Encourage people to donate their devices to those in need. ”

According to the Union’s Ministry of Health, there are 2,095 active cases in the Union’s territory, with 68 deaths to date.
