Reopening of the AP schools: Classes from September 9th are expected to start on September 21st
Vijayawada: Schools for students from the 9th grade through the sophomore year are expected to reopen across the state starting September 21st. The Department of Health, Medicine and Family Welfare for the Andhra Pradesh government released GO.390 guidelines for Unlock 4.0 across the state on Monday.

Schools, universities, educational and coaching facilities will remain closed for schoolchildren and regular classroom activities until September 30, 2020. However, online / distance learning is still allowed and funded.

Up to 50% of the teaching and non-teaching staff must be called to the schools for online lessons / teleconsulting and related work at the same time, and only in areas outside the security zones, with effect from September 21, 2020 for which the Standard Working Practice (SOP) is issued by the Department of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW).

Students in grades 9 to 12 are only allowed to attend their schools on a voluntary basis in areas outside the security zones to seek advice from their teachers. This requires the written consent of your parents / legal guardians and is permitted from September 21, 2020, for which the SOP is issued by the MoHFW.

Qualification or entrepreneurship training can be held at National Qualification Institutes, Industrial Training Institutes (ITIS), Short Term Training Centers Registered with the National Skill Development Corporation, or Government Skill Development Missions or other government departments of India or government from September 21st.
