The Maharaja Bhupindera Singh Punjab Sports University in Patiala begins on July 20 with the registration process for admission to special three-year basic courses.

Edu newsThe admission criteria for admission to the Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports (B.P.E.S.) for the general category are 10 + 2 with at least 50% and for SC / ST / OBC candidates and participants in international and national sports competitions 45%.

Aside from that, the candidate should also have a graded sports certificate issued by the Punjab Sports Department or other states. Candidates must take a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) to qualify for admission.

For B.Sc. (Sports science), candidates in the general category must have passed at least 50% in 10 + 2 (science), and SC / ST / OBC and participants in international / national sports competitions must have 45% in the same subject.

For B.Sc. In the areas of sports nutrition and dietetics, preference is given to those candidates who have participated in a sports competition at international / national / state / federal / district / school level. Apart from that, the candidate must have a sports license.

The registration process is open from July 20 to August 20, 2020. Online registration begins on the university’s website at ‘mbspsu.pgsgcpe.com’. The dates of the fitness test for the BPES course will be announced later on the university website.
