After a month of discussion, the beta version of the program is ready and will go online next week. Committee chair Pami Dua, also dean for academic activities and projects, said that DU will publish the information on the platform soon.
According to Sanjeev Singh, a member of the Apex committee and director of the DU data center, the program is being developed by a team of researchers who were also behind DU’s online open book exams (OBE).
Singh stated: “One DU is an initiative to provide and create a unified online learning platform within the university. It will help teachers create content and plan lessons, help them record their video lectures, and broadcast and distribute them. ”
“The main idea was to pool open resources for education and make sure they are made available to students on a single platform. Most of it is already available online, but this platform will have all of this content in one place and be moderated by teachers, ”added Singh.
