The Odisha government has decided to complete all undergraduate and graduate exams at the university by September 30th and to announce the results before October 31st, as per UGC policy.

The decision on this was made on a video conference on Monday at a meeting of the Vice Chancellors and Directors.

The Minister of Higher Education, Arun Kumar Sahoo, who tested positive for COVID-19, said the exams can be held offline / online / mixed / multiple choice / open book / OMR mode as per UGC guidelines.

However, he said the universities and autonomous colleges will make their decisions about when exams should take place.

The meeting also decided to hold a special exam in December 2020 for students who cannot appear for the exam in September due to the pandemic and the background work by students in the last semester, the results of which are to be announced by October 31.
