NSUI Goa urges the center to postpone NEET, JEE
PANAJI: The Department of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) in Goa has asked the government to postpone the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to the rising Covid-19 cases in the country.

On Tuesday before, the National Testing Agency (NTA) confirmed that the JEE (Main) and NEET (UG) tests will take place on the dates previously announced.

It had announced that the JEE (Main) will take place from September 1-6 and the NEET (UG) on September 13th after the Supreme Court rejected a petition that postponed the NEET and the JEE for September 2020 was targeted.

“At a time when Covid-19 cases are increasing daily, classes are online, and there is a medical emergency during a pandemic in our country, the government cannot expect students to take exams by going to the exam center That this may indeed lead to a multiplication of the cases, “said NSUI Goa.

“Hundreds of students already suffer from Covid-19 and cannot answer their exams. Organizing these exams would waste a year. Time and again we have urged the government to cancel all exams. NEET and JEE aspirants are in Generally under 18 years old and the future of the country. If asked to answer exams it would put the entire country at health risk and put their future at risk, “he added.
