President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will speak on video conference on Monday ahead of the opening session of the Governors’ Conference on New Education Policies. The Prime Minister’s office announced this through tweets. The conference “The Role of NEP-2020 in Reshaping Higher Education”, to be organized by the Ministry of Education, will include Ministers of Education from all states, Vice Chancellors of state universities and other high-level officials.
Tomorrow, September 7th, at 10:30 am I will be attending a conference with Rashtrapati Ji, governors and VCs of universities, on national education policy 2020 and its impact on transformation. The reflection on this conference will intensify our efforts to make India a center of knowledge.

The country’s educational policy changed after 34 years
The PMO said in an official statement that the NEP-2020 is the first education policy of the 21st century, announced in 1986 after 34 years of National Education Policy. The new policy will bring major reforms to both school and university levels. It will also strive to make India a just and vibrant knowledge society.
Many programs already done
Various webinars, virtual conferences, etc. are being organized across the country on various aspects of National Education Policy 2020. The Commission on Education and University Scholarships had previously organized a conclave on transformation reforms in higher education as part of the National Education Policy 2020, which was addressed by PM Modi.
