neet 2020 latest news: Supreme Court hears new petitions to postpone NEET 2020
NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court will hear a new motion on September 9 to postpone the NEET UG 2020 exam on Sunday September 13. The new application also calls for the addition of more exam centers and a staggered exam over a period of five to six days like recently completed JEE main exam.

Lawyer Alakh Alok Srivastava tweeted on Wednesday: “# NEET friends, tonight I had an extensive discussion with the respected senior advocate who will appear for us tomorrow in our NEET case. We are trying to move, more centers, NEET in 5-6 days, etc. We both work on a voluntary basis. We’ll do our best. You keep learning. ”

On August 17, the bank, headed by Justice Arun Mishra, rejected the pleas for postponing the NEET UG 2020 and JEE Mains 2020 exams.

The review request submitted by six ministers of state to postpone NEET UG 2020 was rejected on September 5, 2020 by the Ashok Bhushan-run bank.

After completing the joint entrance examination (JEE Main) on September 6th, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is now ready to hold the NEET medical entrance examination on September 13th, for which more than 15 lakh candidates have registered.

NTA officials said 15.97 lakh candidates from across the country have registered for NEET, a pen-based test.

To maintain social distancing, the NTA has increased the number of centers for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) from 2,546 to 3,843, while reducing the number of candidates per room from a previous 24 to 12.

The NEET-UG was originally planned for May 3rd, but was postponed to July 26th and then planned for September 13th.
