Nardev Singh

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, Nardev Singh, a lecturer in chemistry at the State Secondary School in Biar, Hamirpur, was awarded the National Teachers Award in New Delhi by President Ram Nath Kovind.

Singh has worked on developing inexpensive study materials and has also made good use of information and communication technology.

He has helped educate the disadvantaged and reached out to local communities to ensure higher enrollment. Singh also helped run fundraising programs to improve school infrastructure.

Singh was born on April 19, 1970 and completed his initial training in Jeoli Devi Village, Hamirpur. He graduated from Government Degree College in Dharamshala and then attended a school in Shahtalai as a teacher. He has received many state awards.
