Telangana's government begins online teaching today, schools remain closed
BHOPAL: Online courses for students of Standards IX to XII of the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education could not start on Monday after the board ordered the courses to be canceled. In particular, board chairman Radheshyam Julaniya said on Sunday evening that the academic session for grades IX to XII in online mode would start on Monday with the broadcast of audiovisual lessons on Doordarshan from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.

Later that night, board secretary Anil Suchari issued an order stating, “The 7 am-10pm broadcast will be canceled. Therefore, the courses will not be held.”

The State Board grades IX through XII have nearly 35 lakh students.

According to a recent national survey of household social consumption in education in India, only 9.7 percent of rural and 55.4 percent of urban households in Madhya Pradesh have an internet connection.
