Minister of Education presents "CBSE Teachers Award"
NEW DELHI: Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ congratulated 38 teachers and principals from CBSE schools in and outside India during an online ceremony on Wednesday.

These awards were presented for the year 2019-20 in honor of teachers and school principals for their valuable contribution to improving school education, innovation and engagement.

Each award consists of a certificate of merit, a scarf and an amount of 50,000 euros. CBSE has followed an online selection process since 2018. Applicants will be assessed against the general and specific criterion for each category and various parameters related to schooling and contribution.

The 38 winners are elementary and middle school teachers, language teachers, natural sciences, social sciences, physical education, math, economics, IT, teachers of fine arts, school advisors, deputy principals and school principals.

The honorable Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank, Shri Sanjay Dhotre, Minister of State for Education, presented the awards in the friendly presence of Smt. Anita Karwal Secretary (SE & L), Shri Manoj Ahuja, Chairman CBSE and Shri Anurag Tripathi, Secretary CBSE.

Several other distinguished guests from the Ministry of Education, NVS, KVS, CBSE, school principals, teachers, students, parents and families from around the world have signed up online to view this program.
