The Mahindra Group today launched Mahindra University (MU) in Hyderabad, which focuses on offering world-class futuristic education in India.
Your mission is to develop versatile leaders who are both reflective and innovative. To bring about a significant change in the way higher education is taught in the country, MU will advance interdisciplinary academic excellence and combine the study of science and technology with humanities, ethics and philosophy, as well as design.
It is operated as an autonomous university, whose contemporary New Age curricula are curated to take full advantage of new technologies such as data science, blockchain and data analytics. MU will enable the holistic development of its students in a unique way.
Mahindra University is part of the Mahindra Educational Institutions (MEI), a non-profit subsidiary of Tech Mahindra.
Mahindra University was virtually created by KT Rama Rao, IT and Industry Minister of Telangana. Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group and Chancellor of Mahindra University; and CP Gurnani, CEO and MD Tech Mahindra and board member.

130 acre campus
The 130-hectare, multidisciplinary campus in Hyderabad offers courses for students, postgraduates and doctoral students. MU owns the Ecole Centrale School of Engineering, founded in 2014.

The university will also provide access to multidisciplinary learning designed to harness the power of artificial intelligence and emotional intelligence. “
As part of the immediate roadmap, the University will include the School of Management (2021-22), the School of Law (2021-22), the Indira Mahindra School of Education (2021-22) and the School of Media & Liberal Arts (2022) open -23) and School of Design (2023-24).
An estimated 4,000 students and more than 300 faculty members will be deployed to various schools at Mahindra University over the next five years.

MU plans to bring the ecosystems business and industry together through its competence centers. Students are given the opportunity to interact with CEOs and CXOs from organizations across the country.
MU has a supercomputer lab with an advanced NVidia GPU-based supercomputer, the DGX-1. It also has an Artificial Intelligence Center (CAI), a Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) and a Center for Sustainable Infrastructure and Systems (CSIS).
Other CoEs under consideration are the Center for Computer and Experimental Mechanics (CCEM), the Center for Research in Optics and Photonics (CROP) and a Center for Executive Education (CEE).
