The Maharashtra government has decided to give a second chance to students who have failed grades 9 and 11 and has instructed schools to take their oral exam on August 7.

A government resolution (GR) released on Monday said, given the COVID 19 pandemic, that it would not be possible for these students to be re-examined.
The oral exam should take the form of a student call to the school or a video conference.

Those who pass the oral exam should be included in grades 10 and 12 for academic year 2020-21.
