JEE Main 2020 Day 2: Social distancing norms in exam centers
On the second day, joint entrance exams (JEE) (Mains) took place across the country on Wednesday as part of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Exam centers in Kochi and Siliguri adhered to COVID-19 guidelines as candidates were announced to be observing social distancing. A hand sanitizer was available to students and temperature tests were taken before entering their respective exam centers.

Praveen Kumar, a candidate from Khaprail who came to Siliguri to take the exam at the Surendra Institute of Engineering & Management, said he was not concerned about the COVID-19 situation and was more concerned about his exam it is going on well.

“I think I prepared well for my exams. More than COVID-19, I hope my exams go well. My only other concern is that there will be a lockdown on September 12th and NEET on September 13th,” Kumar told ANI.

The West Bengal government had previously announced a full state lockdown on September 11th and 12th amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases.

On September 13, the national admission exam test for admission to medical institutes in the country will take place.
