The university had given department heads a number of ways to conduct the exam.
“Most departments have chosen to send the question paper to the students online and give them two to four hours to write their answers. They are not expected to be on a video call or online to post responses. Instead, they have to send a scanned copy of their answer sheet at the end of the examination period, ”said Prof. Vinod Pavarala, spokesman for the UoH.
The final exams are conducted for 50 points and students are graded for the remaining 50 points on an ongoing basis.
“Although it is a kind of open audit, the questionnaires will contain an element of analysis and interpretation. So that students are unable to copy paste from their study material. Some departments also conduct oral exams after the theoretical work to verify students’ commitment to the curriculum and integrity, ”said Prof. Pavarala.
From September 24th, the university will be running online entrance exams for various postgraduate courses and integrated courses.
