PRAYAGRAJ: With the girl from Lucknow, Divyanshi Jain, who passed the class XII CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) 2020 exams both in the country and in the Prayagraj region (consisting of over 50 counties of the state), girls have the Boys in the class again surpassed the XII board exam, the results of which were announced on Monday.

Jain, a student at the Navayuga Radiance Sr Sec School in Lucknow, achieved 100% in all subjects.

According to the results of the Prayagraj region in CBSE, a total of 117,959 candidates in class XII had registered this year, of which 116542 candidates appeared in the final exams. “With a percentage of 82.49% in the region, the percentage of girls passed was 86.89% while the percentage of boys passed was 79.89%,” said Shweta Arora, Regional Officer (RO) for CBSE.

There were 1057 schools in the region, of which students took exams this year. Of these, the percentage of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) passed was highest in the region with 99.13% of students who passed the exam. Meanwhile, 97.77% of students from Jawahar Navodya Vidyalaya (JNV), 83.03% of independent schools and 57.07% of state schools (Abhinav Vidyalaya) have been declared successful in Class XII.

In detail about the results of some districts that fall under the Prayagraj region, the RO said that 68 schools were registered in the Prayagraj district and a total of 9720 of 9814 registered students took 12th grade exams. 86.05% of the students passed through the Prayagraj district and again girls outdid boys. The percentage of girls passed was 89.81%, while it was 83.89% for boys.

With regard to the Lucknow district, 127 schools were registered, and a total of 14267 students from 14184 were registered in 12th grade exams. A total of 91.46% of students passed the district, and again the percentage of girls passed was higher than that of boys. 94.37% of the girls passed the test, compared to 89.28% of the boys.

90 schools were registered in the Varanasi district, and a total of 15149 students took exams, 82.27% of which were passed in the district. The percentage of passed girls was 85.68%, that of boys 80.10%.

83 schools were registered in the Kanpur district and a total of 9045 students took exams, 90.46% of which were passed in the district. The percentage of passed girls was 94.13% and that of boys 88.07%.

There were 68 schools in the Gorakhpur district, of which 9491 students took exams and 79.74% of them passed the district. The percentage of girls passed was 83.80% and that of boys 76.74%.
