The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the entrance test for admission to Delhi University on Sunday 6th September. Admission to UG, PG, MPhil and PhD courses in DU takes place through this examination, which takes place from September 6th to 11th. The National Testing Agency has been conducting these tests since 2019. The audit schedule for this year was only published in July last year. At the same time, the examination is delayed by about two months compared to the previous year due to Corona.

The exam takes place in 24 cities

This entrance exam is held in 24 cities including Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Kolkata, Jaipur, Patna, Chennai and Mumbai, etc. According to media reports, 140,000 students applied for various PG programs, while around 70,000 candidates were applying for various PG programs, according to DU officials advertised the UG program. In addition, 14,000 students have applied for MPhil and PhD courses.

Computer will be exam based

This two-hour exam will be computer-based with 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). For each correct answer 4 points are given, while an incorrect assessment is given by number 1. Apart from that, zero points are awarded without answering any questions. The tickets for DUET 2020 were issued on August 29th.

The examination takes place in three shifts

The test is carried out in three shifts. Entry to the examination center does not take place after 7:00 a.m. on the first shift and after 11:00 p.m. on the second shift and after 3:00 p.m. on the third shift. Keep these things in mind:

  • Stationary plastic water bottles and hand sanitizer are allowed.
  • No communication device may be carried, including the switched off smartphone.
  • No metal objects such as jewelry, large belts, etc. are permitted in the examination hall.
  • Candidates must have the DUET 2020 Admit Card with them.
  • Students must report to the examination center two hours in advance.
  • With regard to Corona, contactless entries are made during the test.
