BATHINDA: The Giani Zail Singh Campus College for Engineering and Technology welcomes the posting of the renowned academic and researcher Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu as registrar at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab (MRSPTU) Bathinda University of Technology.

The Chairman B.O.G. The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda, has given additional registrar fee to Prof. (Dr.) Buta Singh Sidhu, a renowned academic and researcher at international level. He already works as Dean Planning & Development at MRSPTU, Bathinda. Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu paid the additional fee from Registrar of the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) on July 15, 2020. From 2010 to 2017 he was campus director at the Yadwindera College of Engineering in Talwandi Sabo, on the Patiala campus of the Punjabi University and as dean at the I.K.G. PTU Jalandhar.

He has written two books and published more than 150 research papers. He is a recipient of the AICTE grant for Ph.D. He was awarded the “Best Engineering College Teacher Award” by ISTE.

New Delhi, India and elected chair of the Institution of Engineers in Bathinda, India. Dr. Buta Singh is a member of the TSS Thermal Spray Advisory Council of the TSS-ASM Thermal Spray Society, a subsidiary of ASM International, USA. Dr. Singh is also recognized as the world’s leading engineer, recognized by the International Biographical Center, Cambridge, England (UK).

The association (GZSCCSWS) said that Dr. Singh has extensive experience with academic posts that will help the university rise up high. He would make concerted efforts to advance the values ​​of Panjab Technical University and continue to work on government policies to improve society by exploring educational opportunities. Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu has played an important role in achieving 12-B status for this newly created 2nd State Technical University by the University Grans Commission (UGC), M.H.R.D. (Government of India) New Delhi. So this is the only state technical university to have received this status (12-B) from UGC in that state.
