DMK is against holding NEET during Covid-19: Udhayanidhi Stalin
MADURAI: The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) is against holding the NEET during the coronavirus pandemic, said DMK youth wing secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin on Saturday. He questioned the safety of the students who showed up for the exams.

“Students are experiencing stress from the NEET exam planned by the center and the state government,” he told ANI.

“We (DMK) are against a NEET investigation during a coronavirus pandemic,” said Stalin.

“The government says they take precautionary measures, but what is the certainty that the students would not get an infection,” he added.

“More than 1 lakh student will take the exams. Who will give the safety and security of the students?” he asked.

The NEET 2020 exam is due to take place on September 13th given the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
