Digital certificates are sufficient for preliminary admission to the Junior College
MUMBAI: For prospective junior college aspirants in the state, digital declarations of their Class X brands, certificates or company would be sufficient for preliminary approvals in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic.

In a circular issued on Thursday, the school education department said that students applying under different quotas can upload their relevant documents online. If students do not have the documents or are unable to upload them due to technical difficulties, they can undertake to submit the original documents at a later date. Until then, the admission of students would be provisional.

Similarly, students can use the digital grade sheet that they received for their grade X results if they don’t have a printed copy of the sheet. “In view of the current situation, the students can upload the digital grade declaration. The students can submit their school-leaving certificate or pass-up certificate for later review,” the circular said.

The students would have three months to submit the original documents.

Phase I of completing the form, in which students must fill out personal information and grades, will open on August 1st. Students can also access the admission information booklet in a few days.
