  • Government is playing with the lives of millions of students on behalf of JEE and NEET: Sisodia
  • The Supreme Court has already rejected the petition to postpone JEE (Main) and NEET UG

The objection to the exam persists even after JEE and NEET exams have been conducted by the Supreme Court and the NTA. In the meantime, Delhi’s Deputy Prime Minister Manish Sisodia has appealed to the central government to cancel the JEE and NEET entrance exams in view of the Corona situation. He also said this year should be used as an alternate method of entry.

Appeal to an alternative admission procedure

The Deputy CM said, “The government is playing with the lives of millions of students on behalf of JEE and NEET. I appeal to the central government to cancel both exams immediately and to introduce an alternative admission procedure. He went on to say that since the exam is just a path to admission, it shows impractical and conservative thinking. If approvals can be done differently in other countries, why can’t this happen in India?

The Supreme Court rejects the petition

Even before the Deputy Prime Minister, many students and parents had asked not to take the test between Corona. The students had also filed an application with the Supreme Court in this regard. However, the court decided to hold the exam on set dates and denied the request to postpone the JEE (Main) 2020 and NEET UG exams. The court said that given the surge in the number of corona cases, the students’ precious years could not be “wasted” and life must move forward.

The agency confirmed that the review will take place on the due date

Following the ruling by the Supreme Court, officials from the Department of Education announced on Friday that the JEE Main and NEET (NEET-UG) exams will be held on their scheduled schedule. At the same time, NTA tweeted on its official tweeter handle that the JEE main exam will be held September 1-6 and NEET 2020 will be held on September 13th.
