Delhi Governor Anil Baijal has given permission to hold JEE and NEET exams in the city, despite objections from the Delhi government to student safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A proposal to conduct JEE and NEET exams in Delhi was made at the latest Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) meeting, attended by the L-G and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
“The government of Delhi recommended in its file sent to the L-G on Saturday not to hold the exams for safety reasons for the students. The Prime Minister of Delhi had also decided not to involve JEE and NEET in view of the pandemic. However, the L-G returned the file with permission to hold the exams, ”the sources said.
