BATHINDA: Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU), Bathinda and the private universities affiliated with the university have started coordinated efforts for admission in the current academic session 2020-21 in the current situation of COVID 19.
An online meeting of the admissions committee chaired by MRSPTU, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, consisting of the University Chancellor Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu, Dean of Academic Affairs and Campus Director, Dr. Savina Bansal, chairwoman of the admissions cell Dr. Manjit Bansal and Director IT-Compatible Services Dr. Bhupinder Singh and Public Relations Director, Harjinder Sidhu, Chairman / Directors / Representative of various universities affiliated with the university, took place in the VC office on Friday.
During the meeting, deliberations were held on the admissions process, campaign, schedule and online services that the university made available to students in light of the current COVID 19 situation. The university and colleges also discussed the strategy for the 2020-21 academic session due to the challenges posed by the COVID 19 situation and stressed the need for joint admission efforts to cope with the state of affairs.
Dr. Ishar said that during these troubled times due to COVID-19, online administrative services and classes are the best ways for students not to experience academic loss. He advised affiliated universities to have programs in place to accept student fees online and upload student certificates.
The registrar Dr. Buta Singh Sidhu disclosed details of online services and stated that MRSPTU students would be able to submit online applications for various services such as: DMC) Correction, review, certification, etc. Students can pay a fee online and have the document copies online in their student login. Dr. Savina Bansal shared that the university offers a wide range of 70 courses for graduate, post graduate and skill developers in the fields of Science and Technology, Management, Science, Architecture, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Food Science and Aviation, etc., as well as newer teaching and research programmers to its affiliate / constituent universities and campuses. She also answered questions from the affiliated universities.
The chairmen / directors and representatives of the technical educational institutions in the territorial framework of the university have undertaken to provide the renowned university with comprehensive support for a smooth admission process and high-quality training.
Officials shared more details on the university’s student-centric portal for online service providers, saying that students could also choose to receive the documents in the mail by paying for shipping costs. The university staff would see the students’ online inquiries along with the details provided in the staff login. After processing the request, the required document will be uploaded to the student login. This system is also integrated with the university’s account management system so that the income from the fee paid is automatically entered in the financial books under the appropriate headings.
