Climate change in Gujarat: Gujarat CM signs MoUs with 10 institutions on climate change
AHMEDABAD: In order to bring about revolutionary changes in research into the climate change sector, Prime Minister Vijay Rupani will sign the MoUs with up to 10 institutions on the 12th
th Foundation day of the “Climate Change” department on Thursday

The Information Department said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Prime Minister of Gujarat, he set up the Climate Change Department in the Gujarat government because he knew the importance of climate studies.

The MoUs to be signed with the institutions are as follows:

1. Bhaskaracharya National Institute for Space Applications and GEO-Informatics

2. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

3. Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar

4. Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation

5. Urban planners

6. Gujarat Science and Technology Council

7. Gujarat Livelihood Promotion Company,

8. Anand Agriculture University

9. Gujarat State Bio Technology Mission

10. Knowledge Consortium, an Education Division company.
