The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the results of the 12th board on Monday afternoon. A total of 11 lakhs 92 thousand 961 students took the corona-affected exam that took place between February 15 and March 30, and 10 lakhs 59,000 80 of them passed. The percentage of exams passed was 88.78%, which is 5.38% more than in 2019. In this year’s result, too, girls were 5.96% ahead of boys. The percentage of girls passed was 92.15%, while that of boys was 86.19%.

Girls in front of boys for the sixth time in a row

Girls beat boys for the sixth time in a row in the 12th result. In 2014, Sarthak Agarwal was the last time to top in the board test with 99.6 percent. Since then, the girls have been toppers for six consecutive years. Last year, topper Hansika Shukla cut only part of the total. He was rated 100 out of 100 in political science, history, psychology and vocal music and 99 out of 100 in English.

Result by July 15 after the court’s decision
Following the Supreme Court’s decision, CBSE had canceled the remaining 10th and 12th exams between July 1 and 15 and decided to issue them based on the assessment scheme. After hearing board reviews, the Supreme Court ruled that the results be published from July 10th and July 12th to July 15th. The CBSE board then intensified its preparation.
