To bring digital learning to millions of children in underserved communities, BYJU’S, an ed-tech company, announced the launch of its social initiative – Education For All. The program aims to democratize education by ensuring that children from all economic backgrounds have equal access to quality learning opportunities.
At the start of the initiative, BYJU’S signed MoUs with mission-oriented partners – the American India Foundation (AIF), Magic Bus, Save the Children, United Way and Vadham Tea.
“This is a very special moment for all of us at BYJU. We agree on the sole mission of providing enriching learning experiences to children everywhere, and have always believed that there is a great need to use return to make a positive change in education in India. With Education for All, we want to ensure that all children have equal opportunities to learn and are committed to empowering children across the country through our technical learning programs. We are also excited to have like-minded and renowned partners on this journey who are working to bring digital learning to more children, ”said Byju Raveendran, founder and CEO of BYJU’S, in a statement.
“Education is a sector where efforts to empower people and create change can really be catalytic. Every helping hand can make a difference, and every single contribution can make quality learning a reality for a child. Together, I believe we can make learning accessible and inclusive, ”he added.
Since launching in 2011, BYJU’S has been using technology to overcome the limitations of the traditional education system, overcome its hurdles and influence the learning needs of students across the country. BYJU’S made its learning content available to students free of charge during the blocking period. Since then, over 20 million new students have started learning from its platform for free. Today 64 million students are learning on the platform.
