BSE Odisha 10th result 2020: The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) said that the class 10 exam or high school certificate for 2020 was announced on Wednesday with a 2 month delay.
When announcing the results, Minister of Schools and Mass Education, Sameer Dash said that the percentage of exams passed is 78.76 percent, which is 8 percent more than the percentage of exams last year of 70.78 percent.

A total of 5.6 lakh students had written the annual HSC exam, of which 4.21 lakh students passed the test. Of the students who passed the exam, 192501 are male and 215368 are female, the minister said.

The matriculation exam started on February 19 with 5.6 lakh students in 2,888 examination centers and ended on March 2. For the first time, BSE installed surveillance cameras in 1000 sensitive test centers to prevent misconduct. Last year the results were announced on May 21st. This year results were delayed due to delays in evaluation due to Covid restrictions.
Girls outperformed boys at 81.98 percent who passed the exam, compared to 77.8 percent of boys. Of the 262,738 students who wrote the exam, 215,368 passed, while 192,501 boys out of 247,451 passed the exam.
According to official information, 1,279 pupils were in class A1, 8,458 pupils in class A2, 18,188 pupils in class B1 and 32,328 pupils in category B2. Similarly, 49,153 students were placed in Category C of Class D-89556 of Class E-223195.

In 31 schools, not a single student passed the exam, while 678 schools passed a 100% percentage.
This year the evaluation was stopped halfway when Odisha announced the ban to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The exercise continued on May 20, with BSE maintaining 23,000 masqueraders engaged and social distance.
