Assam curriculum: SEBA reduces curriculum for grades 9 and 10 by 30%
GUWAHATI: The Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) has decided to shorten the grades 9 and 10 curriculum for this academic session.

Seba chairman RC Jain told TOI on Monday that the decision has been made on all subjects in light of the academic loss due to the pandemic.

“Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will inform the academic institutions of the revised curriculum. 30 percent of the course content has been cut for the students in grades 9 and 10 who will appear in the final exams and on the boards next year,” he said.

Last week the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) made the final decision to cut 30 percent of Grade XI and XII course content in this academic session after students lost classes for months due to the pandemic. AHSEC officials also said that grades XI and XII students studying at AHSEC-affiliated institutions will be notified of the revised course content in September.
