AI technology will help the country develop
IIT Delhi Director V Ramagopal Rao said, “A program in AI is required as the current degrees are broad, which does not help students to thoroughly learn the various concepts of AI.” The institute said in a statement on Wednesday that “the school aims to improve the leadership position of IIT Delhi in India and improve its global position”.
He also said, “A nation’s future progress depends on its AI capability.” India ranks fifth in the world for AI companies and jobs, but it lags behind “on some very important issues, particularly the number of AI researchers”. He claimed that this school would be helpful in filling that void.
