APPSC Departmental 2020 exams postponed
NEW DELHI: The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission postponed the department test until further notice on Sunday.

The exam of the APPSC department exams in May 2020 (objective and conventional papers) will take place from August 25 to September 1, 2020 (except on September 29 and 30). The APPSC had postponed the planned departmental exams at the suggestion of public officials and given the current situation of Covid-19 in the state.

The exams were to be held in 117 locations in Andhra Pradesh for 1,72,703 candidates in all work. This time, the commission was forced to expand the exam centers and, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, had to reassign candidates to locations other than their districts and follow the SOP for the exam. Given the situation in Covid-19, the Commission would take all safety precautions for the examination.

The APPSC had asked candidates to contact the Commission as every effort had been made to assign them to centers closer to their home districts. The commission had also asked the state transport ministry, APSRTC, to run buses to and from all counties in order to provide easy transportation for the candidates.

The commission has not yet announced the new exam dates, but it is expected to be announced towards the end of this month or the first week of September 2020.

Candidates should not know that all tests except language and survey and payroll tests are of the objective type. The language tests and survey and accounting tests are conventional in nature. The target type are computer-based tests and the conventional type are offline tests.
