The Centre’s online test suite app, National Test Abhyas, for students preparing for JEE Main and NEET has achieved more than 13 lakh downloads.
The app was developed to give students access to computer-aided tests (CBT), which are carried out by the National Testing Agency (NTA), an autonomous institute. NTA launched the app on May 19 this year.
According to an NDTV report, a total of 10,53,459 students registered for the test series by July 19 or in the two months since the app was launched.
The report also revealed that the app has over 32 lakh visitors to date and students have spent 42.4 lakh hours to date. More than half of the students who downloaded the app tried the tests.
The app has been downloaded over 50,000 times in cities such as Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, Patna, Hyderabad, Delhi, Indore, Chennai and Bengaluru. The app is available in the Google PlayStore.
After such significant growth, NTA plans to improve the feedback system in the app so that enrolled students can see the right attempts, wrong attempts, and untried questions and can be marked separately for review attempts.
NTA has also added Hindi language tests for students from the Hindi belt.
