75% of the criteria in class 12 are not mandatory for admission to NIT, IIIT and CFTI 2020
Union HRD Minister Ramesh PokhriyalNishak announced that the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has relaxed admission rules for NITs, IIITs and centrally funded technical institutes. Under the new rules, 75% of 12th grade exams are not required to be admitted to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. Candidates who have passed the 12th grade with minimum qualification grades can be admitted to these institutes. However, candidates must have a valid percentile in JEE Main 2020 to be eligible for the JoSAA advisory process.
The Joint Admissions’ Board (JAB) recently also relaxed the admission rules for IIT 2020 admission, where 75% in 12th grade is not compulsory for admission.
